T-Mobile successfully acquired Sprint as of April 1, becoming one company and effectively bringing the total number of major US cell carriers from four down to three. At least for now. And as of August 3, the Sprint brand is officially no more. If you were a Sprint customer or are on T-Mobile, you might be wondering about how this merger affects you.
T-Mobile claims the acquisition will foster improved coverage and data speeds for Americans, but it's important to remember that critics say there's no clear way to hold the carrier accountable to its promises, and that higher prices may be inevitable.
Updated for September: We've added new details following the death of the Sprint brand. You're on T-Mobile—the Sprint brand has officially been discontinued as of August 3—but you will still use your original carrier's network for now.
Eventually, the two networks will merge and everyone on T-Mobile and those that came from Sprint will see greater coverage. If you go to pay your Sprint bill, you might get rerouted to T-Mobile. You can still pay your bill on Sprint.
You'll be redirected to the MySprint dashboard. Nothing is changing with your Sprint plan. You can continue adding new lines or change your rate if you want.
Or you can switch over to T-Mobile. Transferring your service won't count as a new account, so you won't get all the added benefits of a new T-Mobile customer.
You will also first need to pay off your Sprint phone completely and satisfy any other financial obligations you have on your Sprint account. Both carriers have long offered certain benefits to their respective subscribers, like streaming services bundled into plans.
At the moment you can't access the other carrier's benefits or promotions, but expect some kind of universal promotion in the future. The exception is T-Mobile Tuesdaysthe app that offers free stuff and deals every Tuesday from various partners.
If you were on Sprint, you can download the app and access these freebies just like T-Mobile customers. You might just see extended roaming capabilities if Sprint's coverage is poor in a specific area. You can check your phone's compatibility with T-Mobile here. Our recommendation is to buy an unlocked phone, which supports GSM and usually includes support for Sprint's network.
It can also go through walls, which is a problem for some 5G signals, like millimeter wave. T-Mobile now owns that spectrum and has already started deploying it in cities like Philadelphia. T-Mobile and Sprint customers using a 5G phone will gradually start to see faster data speeds. To benefit, you'll also need to pony up for a new phone that supports 5G.Can not login to website.

Sometimes I could log in in mobile, but never on my computer. Now I can't get on either way. Phone help from Sprint verified they know this is a problem, but offered no solutions. Password reset doesn't work, the emails never go through. So I'm effectively completely locked out of my own account. What is the point of having Sprint if I can't even get into the account that I pay for?!

Sprints are generally 2-weeks long, and the goal is to create working software that can be deployed into production. Failed sprints affect the team as well as their stakeholders.
The measurable impact is fewer stories scope delivered than expected. Less visibly, team morale can suffer as well as relationships with the product owner, customers, and management. Where failed sprints are recurrent, there is often frustration and a loss of trust. Failed sprints are more common than we would like. Identifying the root cause and correcting the underlying issues is often difficult.
In this article, I explain committed delivery, ways of measuring performance, and sources of and options for addressing failed sprints. Scrum teams try to deliver value in each development sprint. The product owner works with the customers and stakeholders to build the product backlog, which is a comprehensive, prioritized list of the items stories they want. As items are added to the product backlog, the development team estimates the effort to complete that work using story points.Crazy 8s – Brainstorming \u0026 Sketching (GV Design Sprint Technique) - #RELABLIFE ep.57
Story points are a sizing technique where teams can quickly guestimate the relative effort required to deliver an item, and then assign a numeric value story point. Based on past performance, teams can reasonably predict their capacity to deliver work in upcoming sprints. Defining the scope of work for the sprint is a matter of taking the highest priority stories off the product backlog and placing them on the sprint backlog work to be completed in that sprint until the capacity is filled.
Agile is built on the foundation of systems thinking, which promotes data-driven decision making. Sprint velocity is a key team performance measure. Velocity is the amount of work measured in story points delivered in each sprint.
It is easy to measure sprint velocity and variance from the plan. Sprint velocity charts show the difference between the committed and the completed work measured in story points.
Teams can use this information to learn, improve, and adapt. Expecting teams always to meet their sprint commitment creates unachievable expectations, which may lead to undesired behaviors such as sandbagging performance.
There are several reasons teams fail to meet their sprint commitments. Most often, failed sprints are a symptom of other problems.
When there is a pattern of failed sprints, it is time to take corrective action. The following are common causes of sprint failure and options for improving performance:. A human trait is overestimating our capabilities. Overconfidence spills over into expectations of how much work we can accomplish. We can use historical data story points delivered vs. If the team generally delivers 50 points per sprint, then we can expect they will continue to do the same.
It is unlikely they will magically deliver 75 or points in the next sprint. Constraining capacity to historical performance also alleviates external pressures. Product owners and senior management often want to see teams increasing their velocity. Limiting increases to demonstrated performance avoids this pitfall. Unfortunately, this is often not true.
Unplanned work gets in the way. Unplanned work is anything not accounted for during sprint planning and not listed in the sprint backlog. It includes production issues, urgent requests from management, or unexpected meetings. Agile teams strive to maximize the value delivered, which means that they want to optimize their productivity during the sprint.
The team should be focused on tasks associated with completing stories—design, build, and test. Are you trying to login to Wireless Sprint Login? The easiest way to do that is to use the official links that we have provided below.

It is the fourth-largest mobile network operator in the United States. Finally set to be done with sprint after they screwed me over on a promotion for the phones I just paid off. I was going to convert to TMobile prepaid but they are having issues with conversion of the account and not being easy to work with. Any mobile suggestions right now? This needs to get fixed. This is one of many reasons we left after 10 years TMobile sprint service has gotten progressively worse.

Sprint Employee. Juan Sprint Social Care. What a joke! I have had nothing but problems with this company and customer service is never any help. Not to even mention the actual service- we have the worst reception and drop calls all the time. I have acquired the sprint service 5 months ago and I have nothing but problems with regular service. My reception goes out sporadically in areas where service good seconds before. I never know when I will get an error message stating I'm out of service area.
Went back to Sprint for tablets, we leased them, got a quote from the store with seemed reasonable so we signed up. This charge was only on 2 out of 3 tablets, when I called and confronted them about this, I got the run around. Needless to say, they LIE and you cannot talk to anyone other than a person in a call center!
I'm trying to transfer my phone service to a different provider. I forgot the PIN and security answer. When I tried to reset my username and password, I'm not getting any emails.
I learned that the account wasn't register online even though I get monthly statement bills from Sprint. When I tried to register online, it asked for a PIN or a security answer. This process does not make it any easier. I don't understand why Sprint can't send a retrieval code to the phone number to reset.
This is the dumbest process ever. I feel like I'm running around in circles. Sprint needs to change the way how to register online so it is a easy process. I'm pulling my hair out as I'm finding it difficult to just register for an account.
Be careful what they promise you. I made sure to ask if this was going to be my bill, from here on out, and they told me yes. Not to be!! Same thing happened again on the next 2 bills.
After spending several hours on the phone with their techs, I asked for management. I will be going back to Verizon. I had better cell service with them anyway, and I was always billed correctly, no issues. I switched to sprint a year ago as it was cheaper. You get what you pay for! I rarely had service and would only be able to use my phone on WiFi.
Several dropped calls daily. The customer service staff it difficult to understand with their language barrier.
